The Old Rectory Lodge in Alford receives high praise for its warmth, cosiness, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the peaceful surroundings, underfloor heating, and comfortable beds. The property is well-equipped and maintained, offering a tranquil getaway with a touch of festive charm during December. Its remote location is ideal for those seeking quiet, with local amenities and the coast within easy reach.
Reviewers consistently mention the property's fantastic cleanliness, noting it as spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The location is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to local sites and amenities, although it is noted as remote, which is ideal for some visitors but may not suit everyone.
Comfort is a highlight, with multiple mentions of comfortable beds, underfloor heating, and a cosy atmosphere, especially with the log burner during colder months.
Facilities are well-regarded, with modern amenities, private parking, and a wood-burning stove. However, one suggestion for a retractable washing line indicates a minor area for improvement.
While guests find the property well-equipped and the owner helpful, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Beautiful cosy little house with underfloor heating so was nice and warm for a visit in December. Had been decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Bed extremely comfortable. Location is quite remote so depends why you're visiting the area, but it was perfect for what we were doing.
