On arrival the cottage looked lovely as per photos but shocked how close to a very busy noisy road it was, this was not mentioned in the description. We found lots of cobwebs and spiders even though it should have been cleaned earlier in the day. Most of the utensils and cups in the kitchen we had to wash before we could use them, the frying pans had so much burnt ? On them everything stuck to them. Provided a microwave but no microwave pots etc to use in it. Dishwasher but no tablets not even one to get started. Towels were of good quality but far too small, to wrap around your body and we are not large people. The hot tub provided but put off using it due to the very long list of do and don’t s .more garden furniture would be helpful to make better use of the garden. Found stains on the bed linen on both beds. Only 4 hangers provided even though 4 adults could stay there at one time. The throw on the chair in the upstairs bedroom had stains on it, very off putting. We both found the front room uncomfortable and not cosy at all. Both settees had seen better days and were covered with throws which made sitting on them a pain the coffee table in the middle of the room was pointless as it was so far away from the settees you had to get up to put anything on it. The description of the view over fields was partly true but the description didn’t tell you turn slightly to the left and you would see all the bins and large piles of stones. The 10 minute walk into the village was partly along the very busy road verge and across a railway line!!. As you can tell we were. Very disappointed with our accommodation such a shame it could be so much better. One last thing, the list of rules left on the table was fine apart from the line, “ Beds will be stripped on leaving” this should of been worded differently with the word please would have been much nicer. This holiday Experience has confirmed to us allfuture holidays will not be in a hired cottage, even though we have stayed in some fantastic ones over the years.

Lovely Barn conversation, just felt the upstairs room could have had mirror and hanging hooks, the En suite bathroom would benefit from a shower cubicle being installed and again somewhere to hang towels etc and also a mirror.Downstairs absolutely fantastic, hot tub perfect. Also something a bit more substantial to wash up the crockery as I had to leave the cups washed but very stained.Overall had a lovely holiday
