Very disappointed with our stay. When we first arrived the lodge smelt unpleasant in the living area like a mix of lots of different cooking smells. The settee smelt like dog and I got bites around my ankles which would suggest fleas. There was an egg and Easter egg hunt sign left which would suggest that the lodge was cleaned/turned around in a hurry. There are lots of bits that need attention such as curtain linings hanging off, missing light bulbs and door handles loose. One of the cupboards in the kitchen smelt like TCP which wasn’t pleasant. The TV isn’t a smart one and there’s no wifi available, we loved living like we were in the 90s but the kids didn’t. You can’t use any facilities on site without an entertainment pass which costs £130! The big tent structure that you can see from the lodge plays loud music until 11pm which isn’t a nice experience. The outside needs a good clean especially the windows you can barely see out of them. There’s cobwebs everywhere and I think there’s a wasp nest nearby as well had several enter the lodge when we had the windows/door to the back open. I’m not sure this lodge should be advertised as luxury.

Honest review. Cabin was ok, clean enough inside and lots of space. Food was left in the freezer from previous guests. Outside area very tired. Piles of leafs that hadnt been brushed up. Loads of bird poo dried to the floor. Broken fencing and trellis missing. Glass over the fence on cut down branches. Paid the owner £140 for passes to use facilities and due to lack of response there was no spaces left for the indoor swimming. Such a disappointment because the site is great, would return but not to this lodge.

Pros.Very nice lodge in a great position with a private hot tub in the back yard ( lots of these lodges have a hot tub but not many are as private)There is a fully equipped kitchen area, 2 bedrooms, one with en suite and another pull down double bed that can be sectioned off from the living area with curtains so it offers quite a lot! Also had a washing machine tucked awayCons.Advertised with a welcome pack but didn't get one! Some of the fittings and soft furnishings were a little tired. Light bulbs missing, extractor fan for the hob has a mind of it's own, didn't always work and no light working. . Pictures showing curtains and lighting over the hot tub are not current as there are no curtains or fairy lights.Overall we really enjoyed our stay, just a couple of minor details holding this property back from being excellent. Would recommend!
