Set in the grounds of the owners’ working arable farm sit these wonderful properties, consisting of Roach (UK42139), two semi-detached holiday cottages (refs UKC1907 and UKC1909) and two semi-detached adjoining lodges (refs UKC2202 and UKC2203) which have an inter-connecting locked door, which can be opened to interlink the lodges if required. The grounds benefit from two large, well-stocked fishing lakes.
The properties provide comfortable accommodation and share an indoor heated swimming pool and 20 acres of grounds (please bring own towels to use at the pool). The city of Lincoln, famous for its cathedral, castle, Christmas markets and Magna Carta Visitor Centre, is just 5 miles away, with the showground at Newark, approximately a 15-minute drive, well known for its international antique fairs. There are also good walks and cycle routes in the area. Burton Waters inland marina is close by, with a selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We had a warm welcome and enjoyed this spacious, well-kept accommodation. The pool was the main draw for us as a family and it was great to be able to book spaces (there's a folder with time slots in the pool building).

We loved our stay at carp cottage. It is well equipped and having sole use of such a large swimming pool for such a good weekly rate was amazing. The owner is very friendly and helpful. My only gripe was a previous guest hadn’t washed up the crockery properly and so I had to run it through the dishwasher before using it. Additionally although the description says there is a shower over a bath sadly it is just a shower (my autistic son refuses showers and wants baths which made it tricky). Please can you update the description cottages.com. However these things don’t stop me giving this lovely place a strong recommendation.

The cottage is lovely, really well equipped and very spacious. The location is superb, just a few minutes off the main road and very easy to get to. The garden and the lakes are great and beautifully kept. The swimming pool is brilliant, well maintained, clean and a great size. There is a diary to book the slots you would like to use, but even with all cottages occupied we had plenty of time to swim and we didn’t feel we were missing out. We had plenty of towels, cleaning equipment, dishwasher tablets, bags and toilet paper (which we had to provide ourselves in other holiday cottages). The kitchen is. Great size and fully equipped, with plenty of kitchenware to cook, a full sized fridge, oven and hob. There is even a washing machine! The holiday cottages are run by really lovely people, who made us feel at home and were incredibly nice to us.
