Cowslip Cottage receives high praise for its peaceful rural setting, welcoming hosts, and well-equipped, clean accommodation. Guests particularly enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, wildlife, and proximity to local attractions. Many mention returning for repeat visits. While most found the cottage comfortable, a few noted issues with the bed and seating. The majority of reviews highlight the friendly and responsive hosts, with occasional mentions of thoughtful touches such as welcome packs, though these are not always provided. Overall, the cottage offers a charming and restful retreat in the Lincolnshire countryside.
Cleanliness is frequently mentioned as a strong point, with guests describing the cottage as very clean, spotless, and well maintained. Only one review noted that the bedding, while clean, was old, but this did not detract significantly from the overall impression.
The location is widely appreciated for its tranquillity, countryside views, and proximity to local attractions and market towns. Some guests noted it is a little remote from amenities, but this was generally seen as a positive for those seeking a peaceful break.
Most guests found the cottage comfortable and relaxing, with several mentioning restful sleep. However, a few reviews highlighted issues with the bed being too hard or high, and some found the seating difficult due to personal mobility issues.
The cottage is described as well-equipped, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Guests appreciated the kitchen, garden furniture, and overall maintenance. A minor issue with hot water was quickly resolved by the hosts.
Many guests commented on the warm welcome and friendliness of the hosts. Some mentioned receiving a welcome pack or local produce, but as this was not consistent across all stays, guests should note that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Stayed at Cowslip Cottage for a week. We were very comfortable there. We had everything we needed. The hosts were lovely and made us very welcome.A good central location for different attractions . A walk down the road gave us free air displays from the local air base & running hares in the fields.
