The lovely owners of this fabulous cottage make a special effort to make you feel welcome- and indeed to provide the cottage with everything you need to facilitate a perfect stay. Nothing is too much trouble for them and it was quite joyous actually, to spend so much unrushed time talking to them when they appeared- they are very interesting people. And their dog!! OMG you will want to take home home with you! Or should I say ride him home!Generous gifts were waiting for us and the plum loaf in particular was just exquisite! Always a welcoming touch even though not expected from our point of view.We had a little initial concern as to there being another very similar cottage on the farm- a totally unfounded one as they were so cleverly sited that neither was impinged on the view of the other, and wasnt in any way obtrusive to our stay.Talking of views! OMG the view from the rear of the property over a panoramic vista was simply wonderful! The patio area was just lovely for sitting out there in the sunshine with a drink and gazing at the expansive views and listening to the birds and wildlife. Oh yes!- another essential for us was met- was it quiet and peaceful...? Too right it was. Serene even.The cottage itself met every need I must say, it goes short on nothing and is well furnished and provided for with things like utensils etc. Altho we were lucky to have a warm week, I believe its so well insulated so as to be warm and cosy at all times of the year. Again, it fell short on nothing at all.There was plenty to do in the vicinity and we visited 2 National trust sites and we would particularly recommend a visit to the Gunby estate and house...quite beautiful and fabulous reception and guidance from their staff. Also, if you are after a quieter beach than Skegness etc, give Huttoft beach a look up! Amazing expanse of sand and just the one cafe there make for a relaxing visit. Louth is easily accessible with supermarkets to supply those provisionsWe had a most enjoyable week at this beaut of a property, and loved the area and landscapes too. So much so that I fear we will have no option but to return!!! Beautiful countryside/farmland views from a carefully thought out conversion. The owners have provided excellent accommodation, well equipped and very comfortable. Peaceful location for a relaxing break and well placed for visiting the local area. Nearest amenities are a short drive away. Jill & Colin are super friendly hosts and happy to share their local knowledge to enhance your stay. Check your directions to the property with the property owner, the postcode provided to us on the company confirmation took us to another part of the village, thankfully Jill was available to call and guided us there. Would happily recommend this property and will certainly be staying again when the opportunity arises.
