Located in the pretty village of Pleasley less than 5 minutes’ drive from Mansfield and 15 minutes from Chesterfield with its iconic crooked spire, rests this modern, contemporary holiday home, in which to begin your well-deserved staycation. The Paddocks makes the perfect base for a couple desiring rest, relaxation and comfort with opulent surroundings or a family wishing to explore the treasure trove of amenities and activities nearby.
Step inside this unique upside-down property where you will find two spacious double bedrooms, one on the upper floor, one on the lower, coupled with an en-suite shower room and a further bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. Continuing through the property onto the upper level, discover a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, a lovely separate dining room, tastefully decorated lounge with French doors leading into the light, airy conservatory and further French doors leading outside. Behold a magnificent, bespoke private garden with an undercover dining area, outdoor social seating and a relaxing water feature, enveloped by lush greenery. To the front there is ample, hard-standing parking for three vehicles.
If you fancy stretching your legs, visit the local café for afternoon tea. Alternatively, there are two local pubs both within walking distance; one of which serves food and is rumoured to be home to the ghost of Florence Nightingale! Why not bring along your bike? There are plenty of local walks and cycling tracks such as Pleasley Vale with its stunning woodland and riverside walks or venture along the flat 6.6 mile Teversal Trail which leads onto the wooded Five Pits Trail, suitable for all abilities as you can participate in as little as 20 minutes, or as long as a full day! Be sure to visit Sherwood Forest home to the legendary Robin Hood and the famous Major Oak, as well as Sherwood Pines, offering bike rentals, Go Ape Tree-Top Activity Centre, café and bike shop.
Take a scenic drive over to the Peak District National Park where you will find the charming village of Matlock Bath, home to the Heights of Abraham where you can embark on an alpine-style cable car adventure up to a museum and fascinating cavern. Visit the market town of Bakewell and sample the famous Bakewell Pudding at the old, original Bakewell Pudding Shop. Not forgetting, of course, the world renowned Chatsworth House, Gardens, and Farm only a few miles away! Considering it is supposed to be 5* luxury, there has to be a few changes. More than 1 toilet roll for a week’s stay is needed. Cleaning cloths for dishes, more than 1 towel needed for hygiene and separate ones in the kitchen needed. A box of hankies would be nice. As this is luxury accommodation, little things like the above should really be included. This is very nice accommodation, lovely location but the neighbours watch you 24/7 which is very uncomfortable and not a nice feeling at all

A lovely place to stay between the Peak District and Lincolnshire. A warm welcome by the owner Jo, and a welcome pack on arrival. The accommodation was very clean with everything you needed supplied to make a great holiday. The garden was quite and relaxing and very private. If you are after a quiet escape this was the place to be.
