Edith Weston is a pretty little village with lovely stone cottages, a pretty little church with a stained glass window inside, as well as a village shop. Post Office and pub. The nearby Rutland Water offers something for all and includes a Visitor Centre, shops, cafes and restaurants. Further afield are the towns of Stamford and Oakham with an excellent variety of independent shops, recognised retailers, character-rich pubs and range of restaurants as well as a weekly market every Friday. This is known as the playground of the East Midlands with water sports, nature reserves, an outdoor adventure centre and plenty of cycling and walking.

We had such a great time and would love to come again. The place was beautiful, comfortable and exactly what we needed. The hot tub was amazing! The only thing id mention to improve is the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils + cups as there were a couple dirty ones and also the cabin windows need a clean. But overall that did not affect our stay and we are happy we booked the Lodge.

Cleanliness - whilst it wasnât dirty it wasnât up to the standard I would expect for the cost, dirty windows, cobwebs and dust Train tracks - very close to the train tracks so sleep wasnât always guaranteed to be restful, alongside the poor quality mattress Fresh water dippIng - this was advertised as available however the platform for this was still under construction on our visit Plenty of pros also, owners were very friendly, location and lodge were beautiful, very relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful part of the country
