The surrounding area is criss-crossed with footpaths and quiet lanes, making it ideal for walkers and cyclists keen to explore the rolling Northamptonshire and Leicestershire countryside.

For days out, the nearby market town of Market Harborough offers a great mix of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, along with a popular market and attractive riverside walks. Foxton Locks, with its impressive staircase of canal locks and waterside attractions, is also close by and well worth a visit.
