5 The Plosh is a charming and well-equipped cottage in the heart of Keswick, praised for its unbeatable location close to shops, pubs, and walks, yet remaining peaceful. Guests consistently highlight the cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and excellent kitchen facilities. While some mention minor cleanliness and maintenance issues, these do not detract from the overall positive experience. The cottage is ideal for exploring the Lake District, with thoughtful touches and a welcoming feel making it a popular choice for repeat visitors.
Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, though a few noted areas that could have been cleaner, such as cupboards, ledges, and occasional mould in bathrooms. These issues were generally minor and did not significantly impact enjoyment.
The location is universally praised, with guests loving the proximity to Keswick town centre, local amenities, and walking routes, while still enjoying a tranquil setting.
The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, with many guests enjoying the beds and living spaces. A few found the main bed too soft or uncomfortable, but most slept well and appreciated the warmth and layout.
Facilities are generally excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen, good showers, and useful amenities. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues (e.g., missing blinds, tricky appliances, or balcony access), but these were usually addressed or did not spoil the stay.
Guests appreciated touches like Christmas decorations and a well-stocked kitchen, but some noted a lack of basics such as kindling, tea towels, or welcome packs. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

This location has much to offer in local amenities. Plumbing, cooking and washer systems worked well. Beds are comfortable. Price is good value.

There is so much to like about the flat - very well equipped, and great location, just a minute's walk from the Wainwright pub. But there were a few irritating issues:- there are two folders of information, but the information is not the same.- one folder said the WiFi password was on the router, but there was no sign of the router (I looked everywhere!). I contacted the office, and they gave me a password they had on record, but it was the wrong one.- There were no instructions for the heating, so finding that the downstairs underfloor heating came on each morning during the heatwave wasn't ideal!- No instructions for the cooker. A Google search eventually told me that the oven doesn't work if the clock hasn't been set.- There are no separate recycling bins. It really was depressing to put everything in the same bin. I would have taken the recycling home if we weren't travelling by bus.If the management company could sort these out, the flat would be perfect!

Brilliant spot, right on the edge of the town centre within easy reach of everything in Keswick. Parking in the nearby Lakes car park was fine, although not quite as convenient as a space nearby.Nice, large well-fitted kitchen - would have liked a bigger dining table. Lounge is comfy. Spiral stairs up to the bedrooms were steep and wouldn't suit everyone! Comfy bed - upstairs bathroom small but manageable, with a lovely powerful shower.House was very warm. Take a fan if it's forecast to be hot!
