A charming two bedroomed corner terraced cottage, a stone’s throw from Keswick town centre and a 4-minute walk from picturesque Derwentwater and Hope Park. Built in the early 19th century as two separate cottages, Lund Cottage has undergone total refurbishment. It has an ’upside down’ layout with an airy living area, kitchen upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. It offers a luxuriously comfy, well appointed holiday home full of character, including original oak beams and an attractive fireplace with coal-effect gas fire for cosy winter nights.

This is a fantastic place to stay in Keswick in the off season, warm and comfortable and so convenient. Very good value and well equipped, although needs a bit of work here and there, eg. The gas fireplace doesn’t work, the sheet on the bed not big enough so it keeps coming off, knives could be sharper to make cooking easier. Such a shame that in this day and age there is no recycling here unless you have a car and can drive to a car park to dispose of it (a common issue in Keswick rentals and we don’t have a car). However none of this affected our enjoyment of our stay and I highly recommend this place.
