Peel Wyke offers a fantastic location just a short walk from Keswick town centre, with lovely views of the surrounding fells and a quiet, peaceful setting. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, warmth, and well-equipped kitchen, making it a practical base for walkers and those exploring the area. While the property is clean for some, others note it is dated and in need of modernisation and deeper cleaning. The comfort and maintenance of beds and furnishings receive mixed feedback, but the property remains a popular choice for those prioritising location and value over luxury.
Cleanliness is mixed, with several guests finding the property clean and comfortable, while others report issues such as dust, cobwebs, dirty bathrooms, and kitchen utensils needing cleaning. Some mention a damp smell and carpets in need of a deep clean.
The location is highly praised, with guests loving the quiet residential street, easy parking, and proximity to Keswick town centre and local walks. The views from the property are frequently highlighted as a major positive.
Comfort is variable; some guests find the bungalow warm and cosy, while others mention uncomfortable beds, thin mattresses and pillows, and dated furnishings. The property is generally spacious, but the quality of sleep and relaxation is inconsistent.
Facilities are adequate for most, with a well-equipped kitchen, good heating, and hot water. However, several reviews mention maintenance issues such as dated decor, wallpaper coming off, old appliances, and a need for modernisation and repairs.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Lovely bungalow with everything we needed. Perfect location for walking and Keswick town centre. We’ll definitely be back again.

This house is in dire need of a deep clean and updated. The paper on the ceiling is surely a fire hazard, the decor is from the 90s. The shower is awful, the bathroom floor is sticky due to not being washed properly. The kitchen needs updated to a more acceptable standard. All in all this house is in a beautiful area but sadly inside let's it down. The oven blasts out a very, very hot blast of air when opened to take anything out.The fridge is far too small and leeks water constantly. We had to through some food away due to puddling.Heater in the bathroom surely dangerous. The beds are the most uncomfortable I've slept in particularly the single bed next to the wardrobe which is not put together properly. A great shame to let this little house go to wreck and ruin
