An intimate and cosy Cartmel cottage, overlooking the croquet lawn to the front and parkland to the rear. With open plan accommodation downstairs, this Cartmel cottage boasts beamed ceilings and a spiral staircase leading up to the first floor accommodation. Perfect for a romantic getaway, you can also enjoy all of the space and facilities of the grounds around Longlands, including the walled kitchen-garden and access to breathtaking walks onto the fells surrounding the estate. Note: This cottage is next to Refs 10307, 10308, 1183043, 1183045, 1183046 and 1183047 and together they accommodate 20 people.
The village of Cartmel is renowned as the prettiest village in the Lake District. The village features walks, cobbled streets with antique shops, a gift shop, traditional pubs and the Michelin Star awarded L'Enclume restaurant.

The property was warm, clean & well equipped. If the weather had been kinder we would definitely sat out in the beautiful grassed courtyard as it provided a good safe run around for our little dog. The stairs were a great feature to look at but were a bit of a challenge to navigate especially if trying to carry anything up! Also the bed base & mattress moved very easily & we had to realign it against the headboard a few times. Regardless we did sleep well & it was a delightful base to return to after a day out exploring.

It is old fashioned with lots of original features. We usually do modern and this was different for us, however it was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The garden sat the front of the house are lovely and there is lots of space to walk and a walk to the fell, we did not do this as we were on a short stay for the races. We had a 25 mins to the race course which wasnât too bad just be aware there is no pavement on the main road but traffic was cautious and we were able to walk with our dog and festival trolley. The property has winding stairs which I would say are not suitable for somebody with mobility issues. Our dog wasnât keen lol This property was perfect for what we required and we book this for the races again.
