The accommodation was fine for the 2 of us but it would be very compact for 4 as the bedrooms are small. We found the remotes for the TV were short of a battery There was no welcome pack, as promised. The village has an excellent shop and there is also a very good pub, which has excellent food and beer. Plenty of nice walks locally.

The cottage was absolutely lovely. It was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and in a fantastic location. We came away to relax and enjoy some walks, and it was perfect for exactly that. It was also ideally situated, with only a short drive to Lake Windermere, where we spent a lovely day, and we also enjoyed visiting , the former home of Beatrix Potter. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing break. The only slight downside was that we hoped to extend our stay by one more night, but unfortunately the agency did not respond quickly enough for us to arrange this. It would also have been a nice touch to have a small welcome pack on arrival. Other than that, we had a really lovely stay and such a good time there. Its an ideal place to unwind, relax, and explore the area, and somewhere I would definitely recommend to others.
