The property itself was lovely, well furnished and comfortable, with a generous welcome gift, which was a thoughtful touch. For a pet-friendly property, the furniture was also impresively clean. Overall, it was not a bad stay and I would consider returning, but a few things held it back from being a great experience. Communication before arrival was frustrating and some of the check-in/house information felt quite generic rather than tailored to the property. There were also a few upkeep and cleanlines isues, including some tired bathroom fittings, dusty surfaces and dishes that needed re-washing before use. The road outside is also busy and noisy, particularly at rush hour, which may be worth noting for lighter sleepers. With clearer instructions, better local property knowledge from the manager, and a bit more attention to maintenance and cleaning, this could be a really good place to stay.
