Guests say

Primrose Cottage is a cosy and comfortable property with a convenient location close to local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-appointed space and the value for money, though some have noted maintenance issues and cleanliness could be improved.

Cleanliness has been mentioned as an issue with reports of cobwebs, dust, and a grimy shower. However, the property was also described as clean by some, leading to a slightly above average score.

The location is well-regarded, with the property being close to local shops, eateries, and within driving distance to the Lake District, making it a convenient base for exploring Cumbria.

Comfort is generally praised with mentions of a comfortable bed and a cosy atmosphere. However, some guests found the bed too soft and the shower cubicle small, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities and maintenance issues are a concern, with reports of problematic gates, sticking doors, and a non-functional bedroom light. The property is well-appointed but requires attention to these details.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

The gates to the parking area need attention, the wind blew the gates into my car as they cannot be secured. The door to the property sticks very badly to the point you had to kick the bottom to enter, then pull very hard to get out ,this. caused the lock to be difficult to operate.Rain was dripping through the beam above lounge window, this was not helped by the guttering outside leaking.wind was blowing through the kitchen window. The bedroom light didn't work. Finally the yard could do with a clear up the leaves accumulated around the door made it slippery. Apart from these small but annoying maintenance issues the property was clean and comfortable
