Many beautiful walks around the lake can be enjoyed, as well as nearby Aira Force Waterfall, Helvellyn, or trips on the Ullswater steamers. A scenic drive can be taken over Kirkstone pass to Ambleside and Windermere. Shops 2 miles, pub/restaurant ½ mile.

Lovely little place in the Ullswater area with amazing views from the garden. There are quite a few steps and the ceiling is low in the bedroom so wouldnt recommend for someone who struggles with mobility, but otherwise is a cosy cottage and would definitely return if coming back to the area.

Small but great place, lovely views, would not be suitable for tall people in bedroom due to sloping roof, not all lights worked, and the pillows need replacing as lumpy, minor points as everything also was good, and great views
