With three kingsize bedrooms all on the same floor, master bedroom with oversized private bathroom, plus another with an option to split into twin beds, this exceptional lodge will have you feeling in total comfort in no time. Situated in the small, rural village of Great Strickland in the Eden Valley, just 2 miles from the Lake District National Park and 6 miles from Ullswater.
It benefits from easy access to the M6, peaceful country lanes for cycling and walking on the Lakeland Fells or Pennine Hills. There is a village pub serving food, 100 yards from the house, with excellent amenities in Penrith just 5 miles.

Really lovely lodge. Very spacious and well equipped. Very safe for dogs on the decking. Only feedback I would offer is that it would be useful to have a visitors information pack, with details of recommended local shops/pubs/takeaways etc. Ample parking next to the lodge and a great grassed area to the side, although wasn't secure for the dogs. Perhaps adding a little fence at the end of the lodge would be useful to keep the dogs and small children safer as its quite close to the road. Had a lovely week overall and would book again 🙂

If you want to stay in a quiet, pretty location in a high spec home then the Woodland is for you. I brought our family together here to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday and was very impressed with the accommodation. We wanted peace and quiet in a lovely setting within easy reach of the Lake District and this was it. I would recommend staying here and would choose it again. Welcoming but not overwhelming with a pub close by if needed.
