This impressive space looks through the bi-fold doors onto the large private patio area with seating and outdoor dining in the beautiful Cumbrian air. With three kingsize bedrooms all on the same floor, master bedroom with oversized private bathroom, plus another with an option to split into twin beds, this exceptional lodge will have you feeling in total comfort in no time. Situated in the small, rural village of Great Strickland in the Eden Valley, just 2 miles from the Lake District National Park and 6 miles from Ullswater.
It benefits from easy access to the M6, peaceful country lanes for cycling and walking on the Lakeland Fells or Pennine Hills. There is a village pub serving food, 100 yards from the house, with excellent amenities in Penrith just 5 miles.

Lovely place to visit the Lake District, Lowther inn only a short drive away, lovely food and dog friendly, highly recommended.

What a beautiful lodge. Everything you could wish for and more. Loved the ice making feature on the fridge freezer! Everything was spotless. We were 4 adults and a mini sausage dog so the twin room was only used to store our coats and cases. All the decoration was tastefully done and the beds were comfortable. The area is quiet so you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. We bought fresh eggs from the laundry and the site manager was very helpful with local knowledge and when a bee swarm decided it liked our lodge. The local pub has unfortunately closed however we used the chippy in Shap which was excellent and only 10 min drive. Shap also has 2 pubs and a large Coop which we visited.The lodge is a good base to explore the Lake District and a great place to return and relax after a busy day.

We & our 2 black Labradors had a great stay at the Woodlands. The property was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Great place to stay to visit the Lake District. We hope to come back again. 😊
