Located on the second floor in an apartment complex, Fawn View offers exceptionally comfortable, family-sized accommodation. Lovingly renovated by the owners, no expense has been spared to ensure that this apartment offers contemporary comforts that you may need or expect from a self-catering property in the Lake District National Park. Unlike many of the apartments within this development, Fawn View is very spacious. The entrance hall opens onto a well-equipped kitchen with all of the necessary appliances you need to cook up a feast for the senses. There are three comfortable bedrooms in this fantastic apartment, one of which has a Freeview TV. The cosy living/dining room has a 40" Freeview TV mounted on the wall, along with an electric fire, dining table and French doors leading onto the small balcony with outdoor furniture.
Set back from the main road that runs through Bowness-on-Windermere, Fawn View enjoys a quiet residential location which is conveniently close to all of the town’s amenities. There is also allocated parking which means that you don’t have to worry about town centre traffic and parking charges. There is a short cut next to the apartment which will take you into the town centre, where you will find an excellent selection of bars, cafés, restaurants, takeaways, pubs and shops. Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to a traditional cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, which is very popular with families. Other family friendly places to visit include the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeland Aquarium, Motor Museum and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway. Lake Windermere is just a 10-minute walk away and from here you can either hire a boat or take a ride on one of the old Victorian steamers. The surrounding fells offer lots of great walking opportunities, making it the perfect base for families who like to keep active. Grizedale Forest also makes for a great day out with plenty of trails, mountain biking and the Go Ape Treetop Adventure. Other popular Lakeland towns within easy driving distance include Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal, Hawkshead, Cartmel and Ulverston. With so much to see and do all year round, Fawn View is your perfect home from home in one of the most beautiful parts of England. Fishing available nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Very clean, and well positioned apartment in Bowness on Windermere. Very close to all amenities, but very quietly situated.Great size for three generation holiday, although one of the doubles is small. Would suggest that the duvet is replaced for a 5ft one, the current one isn’t big enough for two adults.Great to have parking available for two cars, although we didn’t use the cars much, as there is so much to do locally, and also using public transport.Generally the apartment is very well equipped, but maybe time to replace the chipped crockery and the mismatched poor quality cutlery.The shower room had a few issues also: the pop-up plug in the sink wasn’t working, a small bin would be useful, the toilet seat wasn’t very secure, and the position of the shower head wasn’t ideal.Despite the small niggles, we felt very comfortable in this apartment, and fully intend to return.
