Surrounded by an eclectic mix of restaurants, award wining country pubs and an equally good choice of shopping, it’s easy to see why Bowness proves so popular. But for more traditional activities, why not take a trip on the famous steamers down to Lakeside, hire a rowing boat and paddle yourself around the many islands on Windermere or better still, enjoy a ride on the open top bus that regularly tours the area.

A fantastic place to stay. Very spacious and comfortable. It has everything you could possibly need. It's close enough to everything that you don't have to walk far and far enough away so as not to be disturbed by holiday makers. I highly recommend a stay there. So much so that we are thinking of booking again for next year.

A lovely flat, good location, for bowness, bus stop very close for access to other places, be aware that it's top of a hill, everything you needed in the accommodation, just a few things to sort, the blinds need changing, a bit stained, curtains and cushions were a little grubby, need washing, towels not big enough, a welcome pack would be a good idea too, while we were there, lots of noise from top flat, sounded like renovation works, very disturbing, but overall a great stay

Kim's Retreat is a well equiped holiday apartment, with a super comfy bed. We did find it quite cool in the lounge and as we had a very wet week when we stayed, being unable to heat the lounge any more meant we had constantly wet clothes. Finally, a small welcome pack would be a very much appreciated addition
