A lovely thatched cottage which was spacious & very warm. The cottage consisted of 3 bathrooms which were all on the ground floor (2 with showers & 1 with a roll top bath), there were also 2 twin bedded bedrooms & 1 double bedroom with the most comfortable beds & duvets. The kitchen was very well equipped too. There was also a very thoughtful welcome pack awaiting us & was decorated for Christmas by the lady owner of the cottage. The Fisherman's Return public house was just across the road & served a decent Full English Breakfast for £12 & a good Gluten Free Vegetarian Breakfast which was also £12.The corner shop was a couple of minutes away as was Poppy's Tea Room & the Fish & Chip Shop. The beach was a short walk away from the cottage & also has a cafe called Seal View.Would we go back to CaptainsCottage, most definitely Yes.

A wonderful cottage in a lovely location . We were given a very warm welcome and appreciated the lovely welcome pack. It is easy to see why visitors come to this cottage year after year. We would highly recommend it.

Captain's Cottage was located in Winterton on Sea nearly opposite a local Pub and restaurant and just a few minutes walk to local shops including a fish and chips shop and post office. The beds were comfortable and the house felt light and airy. The area was lovely and quiet and close to the brilliant beach.
