Could have been better. Great location and quite roomy, with a huge conservatory. Beds were comfortable. But the TV was awful, we struggled to get normal channels and it was very high on the wall, which we found irritating. Sofas not very comfortable and too big for the room, my husband struggled to get round with his walking frame. There is a large hearth to get round as well, and I would worry about a small child falling and hurting themselves on it. First part of garden is gravel and my dog didn't like walking on it to reach the grassy bit. Great that dogs are allowed, of course, and that was essential for us. Shower in the en suite was almost unusable, either very hot or very cold. Not enough plug sockets or lamps. The kitchen was a mix of good and not so good. On the whole quite well equipped, but it's not well laid out, and we searched for ages to find the cutlery! It's in a drawer within another drawer under the oven, for anyone else who wants to know! We had to buy washing up liquid, and extra bin bags and a few other things. Huge windows and no net curtains and the blinds weren't great. We probably won't go back. Overall it was OK but not amazing.

Back for our second visit and just as brilliant as before , Starboard is perfect for us and our Flatcoated Retriever Freddie , The owners have created a welcoming environment with everything you need and more , very comfortable beds , super bed linen and sensible large bath towels which you don't often get .Can't wait to come again , you would not be disappointed .Big thanks to the owners for sharing this special property and it's wonderful location . Shush..... !!! Don't tell everyone 😂😂🐾🐾🐾🐾

A great find. We were very happy with the accommodation. Only one small negative was the garden needed a bit work on it as it look a unkempt also the chair legs kept sinking in to the gravel, to the extent I came close to falling out of it.The host was very helpfull as we arrived early and said as the cleaners had finished we could go in . Thank you for a great week.
