Guests frequently return, appreciating the wildlife, fishing opportunities, and thoughtful touches throughout the property. While most found the cottage comfortable and relaxing, a few mentioned preferences regarding mattress firmness and minor maintenance points. Overall, the property offers great value for money and a tranquil retreat, with many guests already planning future visits.

The majority of reviews highlight the cottage as immaculately clean, well cared for, and spotless. Only a couple of minor comments were made about outdoor furniture needing attention, but these did not detract from the overall impression.

Guests consistently praise the tranquil riverside location, proximity to the pub, train station, and local shops, as well as easy access to Norwich and the Norfolk Broads. The peaceful setting and wildlife are frequently mentioned as highlights.

Most guests found the cottage comfortable and relaxing, with quality bedding and sofas. A few noted personal preferences regarding mattress firmness, and one mentioned the single beds being less comfortable, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.

The cottage is described as very well equipped, with a modern kitchen, air fryer, and all necessary utensils. Fishing facilities, garden seating, and thoughtful additions like a shed fridge are appreciated. Minor suggestions included an outside tap and updated outdoor furniture.

Many guests mention welcome trays with tea, coffee, milk, and sometimes biscuits, as well as thoughtful touches like extra chairs and a caffetière. Please note, while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Summertime is a comfortable cottage on the river Yare.Always clean with quality mattresses and bedding, always spotless and well cared for.Welcome tray always filled for your arrival, Just a short level walk to white heron bar and restaurant who sell quality food.Trains to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth and Norwich a nice level walk away. The cottage is perfect if you’re a fisherman as the river is at the bottom of the garden. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Visited many times and never been disappointed. Can highly recommend.

It was our 2nd stay at Summertime, we loved the place so much last year that I rebooked straight away for this year and I’ve already booked for next year. It’s a great property, everything is in the cottage you may need. The garden has three seating areas, extra reclining chairs in the shed. The shed has a fridge for the maggots, if you are fishing, the river has a variety of fish, bream, Rudd, etc…. Lovely that we could take our black Labrador too. The pub the White Heron is less than a 10 minute walk away, as is the East Mills bakery, also the train station, which we used to go to Norwich one day, saved trying to find a place to park. Lots of shops just up the road too including Chinese, Indian, co-op, all reasonably priced. All in all it’s an excellent place to stay. 5 🌟
