The apartment is situated in the centre of Neatishead, a traditional unspoilt village on the Norfolk Broads. There is a local shop just a minute away where you can collect you morning paper and take back to read on the reclining sofa, or stay a while and sit outside and enjoy a coffee - freshly baked bread and cakes are also available.
A local pub, with its restaurant and micro brewery, is only 200 yards away. From here you can walk down to the local staithe or continue on through the quiet lanes to Barton Broad Boardwalk. The area is excellent for birdwatching, wildlife, cycling and walking, and you can also spot many old, flint-built churches. The villages of Horning and Wroxham are 2 miles away with their numerous pubs, cafés and opportunities for boat trips. Norwich is easily reached and has a castle, museums, cathedrals and shopping. The North Norfolk Coast is a short drive away, where numerous seals can be seen on the beach at Horsey. Shop and pub/restaurant 200 yards.

This is an excellent place to explore the Norfolk Broads from, with a good pub just down the lane. The accommodation is compact but ideal for 2 people. Fully equipped and immaculately presented. We particularly liked the private garden and the large double bed! Duvet could have been bigger though, we thought it was probably meant for a 5 foot bed.

We found The Garden Apartment to be spotless, welcoming and cosy. The bed was super comfy and the secluded patio was great for alfresco dining and coffee breaks. Our hosts, Robert and Elaine, were welcoming and left us a welcome pack. The only down side was that there was a mechanical droning noise, coming from somewhere near our bedroom windows, that went on through the night. The village is a friendly community offering a community run shop and a pub with good pub meals. We would book again
