Photos need updating pleasantly surprised as present photos do not do it justice Needs a bowl in the kitchen-saves water and a microwave Bathroom needs a larger shower and a shorter curtain -remove metal towel shelves -not necessary

The cottage was very cosy and a bit quirky very clean small kitchen but everything you need in there for your holiday very close to the town and an area outside to sit and enjoy your coffee only thing is the shower was very small but because of the shape and size of the bathroom I don’t know how it could be made any better but it wouldn’t stop us going back to the cottage we loved it

On arrival the bed covers in the double room were sat on top of the bed and after an 8 hour journey we had to make our bed, which was disappointing. The mattress in the double room was very soft and very uncomfortable! It is obviously a very well used mattress, you could pretty much feel springs through it. Definitely needs replacing asap. The single bed is very short. My son’s legs were hanging over the end of the bed. There was no lamp in the single room, so we had to naff about unplugging one out of the two in the double room so that my son had a light in his room, that wasn’t the ceiling light. The kitchen sink still had food remnants left in it and the chopping had crumbs on it. And in the fridge was an old half eaten pot of hummus 🤢 We didn’t complain we just dealt with it. But then the day before we left, the pull cord light switch in the shower room stopped working. I text the owner to inform them, so that they could remedy it before the next guests arrived. And while texting gave them ‘feedback’ on the other issues. They replied with “Hi, saw this earlier but was at work. Awaiting a reply from the person who did the cleaning.” Not that I was looking for an apology but it would only be courtesy to do so would it not? The shower was tiny, which is probably why they don’t show pictures of it! It is a shower tray with a curtain, of which the rail is quite low, not even a proper cubicle. Not suitable for larger people (height and build).Location was great (but then the town is small, so that’s not hard) but unfortunately that’s all it had going for it. Would not stay here again.
