It is large and spacious for 6, but still has a very homely feel. We stayed there primarily to attend a wedding at the Dalton Pump House which is just a short walk away… as is the excellent Fox and Tree pub - albeit in the opposite direction! We stayed on and took the opportunity to use it as a base to explore the many places a short drive away - including Durham, Beamish Museum, Newcastle, Tynemouth Market… the list goes on! …And it’s always nice to jump in the hot tub to discuss the days events on your return. Richard and Denise are excellent hosts - giving you space and privacy, but always happy to have a quick chat when you set off on your days adventure. We highly recommend Glebe House for a stay in this area.

The house is extremely spacious and comfortable and has the added bonus of a hot tub, which was a fun addition to our stay. We explored some lovely places including Beamish, which was a very interesting experience going back in time, and the pretty sights of Hexham and Corbridge, which had a fabulous cake shop (Grants) that was a sight to behold!! I would thoroughly recommend Glebe House and Richard and Denise are wonderful hosts who live next door and make sure everything runs smoothly. It was a great week and if we visit the area in the future will definitely re-book!
