We stayed at Town Square Apartment for 4 nights. The location was perfect, as it was right in middle of Alnwick and in walking distance of the local amenities. The apartment was generally clean, though there were some oversights, including some bits of the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped and the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits was a welcome touch. The apartment was listed as having two smart TVs which we found not to be the case, which was quite disappointing. Finally, the sound from neighbouring properties could be heard quite loudly throughout our stay, so the apartment would benefit from better soundproofing.

Town Square apartment was ideally located in the town centre, a stone's throw from restaurants, cafes and other amenities, such as a supermarket and the bus station. The accommodation was very clean , comfortable and well maintained. Lovely bathroom and shower. We found the living area was a bit cramped, TV was very near the sofa. The window in the open plan living area looked directly on to the street. It had a lovely window seat but sometimes felt like being in a goldfish bowl. The street itself was very quiet. The only other issue for us was the noise from the flat upstairs. Due to the laminate flooring upstairs , we could hear our neighbours walking about to the extent that when one of them got up at 6 o'clock, we thought we had burglars. Could I also mention that we were given the wrong address on the information sheet and had to phone the owner for clarification. Hopefully this has been rectified by Cottages.com.

We had a lovely few days at number 2 Paike Street cosy little flat with all the amenities. Very Central, turn left and your in the town Square turn Right and more shops and good pubs. Walking distance to the Castle/ Gardens/ overnight car parking. And a big thank you to Mr Hurst who came out to rescue us on a Sunday evening after we accidentally left the door key in the Flat this was so appreciated. Would definitely recommend this wee quirky flat for a couple however I noticed the living room sofa was a bed settee. 10/10 from us 👍
