This unusual, detached holiday accommodation with a peaceful contemporary feel is a restored former water tower set in a rural location, close to the charming village of Corbridge. Hadrian’s Wall is nearby, and Hexham, famous for its abbey and racecourse, is only a few minutes’ drive. The Northumberland Heritage Coast with its golden unspoilt beaches and castles is 50 minutes. Bamburgh and Alnwick, both with splendid castles, can be visited on the same day. Recommended restaurant/bar in Newton village (8 minutes’ walk) serving excellent food. Shop 5 miles, pub 3 miles.

Fabulous location with stunning views of the Northumbrian countryside. Comfortable accommodation and all facilities for self catering. Enjoyed watching the wildlife and treating the resident donkeys. Supermarkets and pubs within a few minutes’ drive. Friendly and welcoming host. Gift basket much appreciated. Highly recommend
