Great location, fairly close to the beach. Walking distance to local shops in Beadnell village.Wifi and TV worked really well, with access to streaming services so kids had a fallback on the rainy days.Overall, a good base for a holiday in this lovely part of Northumberland.

Our 2nd time at captain Ron's. Nice quiet area. Beach less than 5 minutes walk. Pubs shop chip van all nearby. Lovely and comfortable with all you need in the apartment. Already booked for September 2026.Chinese takeaway in Seahouses is very good.

The perfect place for a quiet holiday or something more ..... the walking is amazing, either from the property or to go further afield.... we walked to Seahouses, and then decided to carry on to Bamburgh... stunning scenery along the beaches. Luckily we had 2 cars , but if it's timed right there are buses back to Beadnell. The Craster Arms and the Landing are both to be recommended. There are so many places to visit its hard to say which is the best. Alnwick gardens and or castle , Bamburgh Castle, Cragside NT , Woodhorn Coal Musem, Drurridge Bay (another beautiful beach walk) , Seahouses ... trip to Farne Isles for the birds and seals. , best in late spring early summer, Holy Isles and Lindisfarne (NT) and so much more. We only had a week but managed the majority of the above. And what about Capt. Ron's, a first floor apartment , with easy parking at the rear. There is everything you need in the kitchen, the bedrooms were very comfortable, the lounge/diner is lovely with plenty of space and a bathroom with separate shower and bath. To be honest it's hard to find anything negative to say.. .
