In a peaceful location only 2 miles from Amble, it is an ideal base from which to explore the many visitor attractions throughout this friendly and unspoilt county. Amble, reputedly ’the friendliest port’, has a working harbour with boat trips to Coquet Island, a sandy beach and a bustling Sunday market with some excellent seafood eateries and fish and chip shops. A short drive takes you to the popular Druridge Bay Nature Resort. This ideally located holiday home offers a superb base from which to explore the magnificent Heritage Coast, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visit Craster, famous for its smoked kippers and glorious walk along the cliff-top to Dunstanburgh Castle. It is only a few miles from Alnwick, with its famous castle used in Harry Potter and in Downton Abbey. Lovely lodge, clean and comfortable with a wraparound garden which was great for our little dog.very quiet and peaceful stay,very handy for the coast.Mrs Marshal went out of her way to find us after we missed the entrance to her house,thank you

A cosy, well-equipped lodge with amazing views from the dog friendly enclosed large garden. We could see Warkworth castle in the distance. We walked to Amble, Broomhill and Warkworth with our husky on the bridleways and footpaths. After exploring we could relax in the peace and quiet outside. The hosts were really friendly. Thanks for the welcome pack too. We had great weather so we made the most of being outside. We loved it and would stay here again.

Well equipped, cosy lodge and the bed was very comfortable. The view was amazing and it was so peaceful. Amble was a short drive away, however there is a bus stop nearby to take you there as well as Alnwick and other places nearby. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we had a nice surprise to find 4 fresh eggs, milk and a packet of shortbread biscuits as a welcome pack. We would definitely book again.
