Guests say

Seventeen Ten is a beautifully presented cottage in a tranquil rural hamlet near Carlisle, offering guests a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning countryside. Reviewers consistently praise its immaculate cleanliness, cosy and comfortable interiors, and well-equipped facilities. The location is ideal for walkers and those seeking relaxation, with easy access to local pubs and attractions. The host, Julie, is frequently mentioned for her warm welcome and helpfulness. While the rural setting means limited phone signal and steep stairs may be a consideration for some, guests overwhelmingly enjoyed their stays and look forward to returning.

Guests repeatedly describe the cottage as spotlessly clean, immaculate, and well maintained, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.

The peaceful, rural location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful surroundings, and proximity to walks and local attractions. Some mention it is a little off the beaten track and phone signal can be limited, but these are generally seen as minor points.

The cottage is described as cosy, comfortable, and homely, with high-quality furnishings and bedding. A few guests note steep stairs and the bathroom being downstairs, but overall comfort is rated extremely highly.

Facilities are considered excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen, log burner, and utility room. Occasional comments mention slow WiFi or a desire for a BBQ, but these did not detract from guests' enjoyment.

Many guests mention a warm welcome from the host and thoughtful gifts such as wine, cheese, or welcome packs. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.
