We really enjoyed our stay. The property was immaculate with views over the estuary towards Scotland. For walkers and cyclists or those requiring peace and quiet it is a perfect location. The property is a couple of miles from the village which has a pub a small shop, a bar where food is served and not much else. In fact, there were no other shops for miles so I would recommend taking as much food as possible. As it was, we enjoyed visiting Hadrian’s wall, the air museum and some of the larger towns. Our son and his family especially enjoyed early morning bike rides along the long quiet roads. This is a part of England new to us and very different from other places. We went there for a rest and to spend quality time together and it was a delight.

This was the perfect, remote, peaceful getaway. The host was in communication right from the booking and went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was magical. Thoughtful little gifts for our children as it was Christmas and a pack to decorate for New Years. Just wonderful. The barn itself was clean, spacious and fitted with everything you could need. Located in a remote area on a bird reserve was perfect for star gazing and lots of walks. Go prepared with a shop and settle in! The nearest shop is a 15 minute drive. The two eateries in the village are both welcoming with good choice of food. All in all this was a wonderful week away that was just what we were looking for.Perfect host, perfect property.
