No smoking. Please note: There are low sloping door frames throughout the property.. This stunning, Grade II listed house, set over 3 floors, is located perfectly in the heart of Ashbourne. On the ground floor of the house is the single garage to leave your car and bikes, and it is also equipped with a washing machine. Take the stairs into the living room, where you will find a cosy, light area to relax in at the end of a busy day exploring. The room has a warming wood burner, comfy sofa, 2 armchairs and a dining table to seat four. The kitchen has been beautifully finished in a stylish blue shade, well-equipped with dishwasher, fridge with freezer box, microwave and a breakfast bar. The bathroom is located on the first floor with a corner bath with shower over. Upstairs on the second floor are two bedrooms, the first is the master bedroom with a zip and link super kingsize bed, this can be put into two singles if requested. The second bedroom has a zip and link kingsize bed, which can also be twin beds on request.
Ashbourne has so much to offer, with local shops, restaurants and bars, and it is on the doorstep of the famous Dovedale stepping stones, a must-see for your visit. You can fish on the River Dove, and it is also very handy for Alton Towers theme park, with it only being a short 20-minute drive.

We (2 adults one child 8) were looking last minute for a cottage or house for the last week of the summer holidays and feel very lucky to have stumbled across Dusty House in Ashbourne. It really is in Ashbourne too, right in the centre, you could stumble out of many a pub and be back and cosy at Dusty House within minutes. (The Bowling Green up the path behind the house was a stand out for food and service.)Corner shop is 30 seconds away, a CoOp about 5 minutes very leisurely walk and a big Sainsbury's is 5 minutes in the car.Also had few nice clothes shops and an outdoor shop incase you've forgotten any hiking gear.The garage is a very good size and easily accommodated our 4x4 (it would have fit with the roof pod too if we'd have brought it).Some have mentioned noise and though busy at times, despite having the windows open due to the weather, our sleep wasn't disturbed during our stay.There are extensive works on the town cobbles that has some temporary lights, one ways and closed roads but it had no effect on getting around or out stay in general. Jackhammers started after we were all awake and had stopped by the time we returned from days out.We loved how close to Matlock and Matlock Bath it was and spent a couple of days there visiting the Heights of Abraham, the village amusements and the Farm Park.If we hadn't done theme parks earlier in the summer holidays, Alton Towers would have been a very local option and saw many signs for it on our drives around the area.On one day, 45 minutes got us to WaterWorld in Stoke on Trent, a huge waterpark with many flumes.Communication with the property owner was very cordial, any questions or messages we sent were responded to in a most timely manner.We look forward to returning for some climbing and outdoor pursuits, in the future.We really enjoyed our time here.Many Thanks.
