Lindwood offers fantastic accommodation for up to four guests. As you arrive at the property park up in the garage, and there is more parking on the roadside if required. The property has been furnished and decorated in a warm and welcoming way. You will enter the open plan living, dining and kitchen space, giving this home a social yet cosy atmosphere, the kitchen has been finished to a high quality, there is a dining area with a good-sized wood burner to warm yourself after your busy day exploring, the living area has comfortable seating and TV. Upstairs is a kingsize bedroom, a double bedroom and a shower room with walk-in shower, there is plenty of character in this cottage with the original exposed beams and curved walls. Outside there is a small garden space with a bistro table set where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening before heading into town for a delicious meal at the many restaurants and pubs available.
Lindwood is located on the rising hill from Bakewell’s town centre, giving you a perfect position to stroll into town to explore all Bakewell has to offer, from its tea rooms and famous pudding shops to independent and high street shops, you can also walk to Chatsworth House from here and explore its history. There are great neighbouring towns such as Matlock and Buxton, both offering their own individual qualities, and both make for a great day out.

A perfect Peak District getaway at Lindwood Cottage Bakewell We recently returned from a wonderful stay at Lindwood Cottage in Bakewell, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. It was the perfect base for our walking holiday, and every detail was taken care of to ensure we had a relaxing and memorable break.The cottage itself was a cozy and welcoming home-from-home after long days exploring the stunning Derbyshire countryside. We loved being able to set off on walks straight from the door, with routes like the Monsal Trail and the beautiful footpaths towards Chatsworth House easily accessible. The location is simply ideal for anyone wanting to experience the best of the Peak District.A special mention must go to the owner, Tracey, who provided a lovely welcome pack on arrival . Not only were we able to enjoy the amazing walking and scenery, but we also found it a great spot for visiting other local attractions.From start to finish, our experience was wonderful. We had a great time, and it was the warm welcome and cozy atmosphere of Lindwood Cottage that made it so special. We will definitely be back!

Very much enjoyed our week's stay in Lindwood. Clean, well decorated and equipped. A very comfortable bed. (We only used one room so can't comment on the other bed!) A lovely welcome pack was much appreciated. We didn't need any heating whilst we were there, but be aware that the only heating source appears to be a wood burner stove in the open plan ground floor. A starter supply of logs was provided. If there was CH I would unhesitatingly rate 'comfort and equipment' as excellent. A nice cosy blanket is provided on the sofa should you need it. Very well situated up the hill leading out of Bakewell, the cottage is within easy walking distance of the village and its amenities. Nice to have the use of a well proportioned garage for the car as well.
