Kate was a lovely host & provided all the information we needed before arrival and whilst at the cottageThe cottage is very homely and had everything you need for a holiday home we loved playing the games provided in the evening or sitting in the garden with a glass of wine taking in the beautiful views The shower is great and the beds are comfortable and there’s plenty of storage Lovely little village with lots of walks on your doorstep & a great village pub serving good food & we found lots of days out all within 30 minutes awayWe would highly recommend the cottage Paul x

A delightful cottage set in an attractive Peak District village only a few miles from the hotspot of Bakewell. Ideally located for a range of activities, including walks from the door. The cottage is well-appointed with more plates, bowls and cups than I've ever found in a holiday cottage! A high quality coffee machine is also available. The garden is a delightful space with a calm aura thanks to the gentle lowing of the cattle, the bleats of the sheep and the constant fluttering and chirping of the many birds. Although there is no parking just outside the front door due to the narrowness of the road, we never found an issue with parking towards the village hall where the road is much wider. It is only a short walk to the very good pub -which serves good food and has a splendid play area for children as well as a spacious outside seating area for al fresco wining and dining.
