Clematis Cottage -A Truly Lovely StayI’ve just come back from a stay at Clematis Cottage in the Derbyshire Dales, and it was exactly the kind of break I’d been hoping for. I took my Mum with me, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The cottage sits on a working farm, so every morning began with the soft sounds of chickens, pigs, horses and the farm dog going about their day. It gave the whole place a peaceful, lived‑in charm that you just can’t fake. The owners were genuinely lovely; warm, friendly, and the sort of people who make you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a visitor. The cottage itself was spotless, cosy, and beautifully equipped. Everything we needed was already there, which made the stay feel effortless. It’s also in a perfect spot for exploring the Derbyshire Dales. We visited Crich Tramway Village and the Great British Car Journey, both just a short drive away.Mum and I had such a nice time. Clematis Cottage is one of those places you remember fondly and look forward to returning to.
