Sandrock is a spacious and well-equipped cottage in a peaceful, scenic location, ideal for dog owners thanks to its large, secure garden. Guests appreciated the beautiful views, quiet surroundings, and proximity to local amenities and walks. While the property is a little dated and some minor maintenance and cleanliness issues were noted, most guests enjoyed their stay and found it a comfortable base for exploring the area.
Several guests mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as dust, cobwebs, and windows needing attention. However, owners responded positively to feedback, and these concerns did not overshadow the overall enjoyment of the stay.
The cottage's quiet, rural setting with lovely views and easy access to walks and village amenities was highly praised. The only minor drawback was the narrow, rough access road.
Guests found the property spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and pleasant conservatory. Some furnishings were described as dated or in need of refurbishment, but overall comfort was good.
The cottage is well equipped, especially for dog owners, with a secure garden and ample kitchenware. Some guests noted the lack of a tumble dryer, minor maintenance needs, and dated appliances, but these did not significantly detract from their stay.
There were no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

We felt the photo's of the property showed it with rose tinted glasses, it is in need of refurbishment especially the bedroom wardrobes that were very rickety. Judging by the dust and cobwebs we found around the house the cleaners did not do a great job between lets and their performance did not appear to be reviewed by the agents. The boiler was a little antiquated and made a terrible noise each time it started up. The shower was pathetic in that the water flow was very poor, a power shower would be a better option. The fridge was missing a shelf which made storage difficult. The TV remote needs replacement as the idents on the buttons are all worn off.The location was great for walks and the facilities in Brighstone, the garden was nice for us and the dog.

Enjoyable stay. With a little more tlc (clean windows, clean supports to conservatory roof, garden furniture maintenance)) would improve rating. All minor issues really

In a very quiet location, halfway along an unadopted road. The road and drive entrance is a little snug for larger vehicles. The garden is large and is connected to the front garden, so the front gates need to be closed to secure it. Our two labradors loved it.The house is large and well laid out, just a little dated. It was well equipped but would benefit from having a tumble dryer. There are nice walks nearby and our two dogs loved Gaggershill woods.
