We first visited Brabourne Vineyard last year for the tour and wine tasting, and we were so taken with the location and Hester's brilliant tour we decided to book a weekend at Fig Cottage for my 40th birthday. From the start Hester was friendly and really helpful, quickly replying to my questions about the cottage and parking. She was also really flexible when we arrived, letting us leave bags in the cottage before check-in as we had another vineyard visit booked. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, cosy, and finished to an incredibly high standard, from the bath towels to the kitchenware. The bottle of wine in the fridge was also a lovely touch. We were a little worried that it might be a bit small for 4 adults but we didn't find this at all. There is also a lovely patio outside with views over the vineyard and a big gas bbq. There are also two gorgeous and very friendly dogs which was a big plus for four dog lovers. The location is very rural, so make sure you stock up on anything you need before you arrive. Brabourne is a beautiful little village with two great pubs a very short walk away. There are 4 or 5 vineyards within a half hour drive and Folkestone is a 25 minute drive away and well worth a day trip.We all said this was one of the nicest self-catering accommodations we've stayed in, highly recommended.
