The Old Dairy in Sussex receives praise for its tranquil setting, spaciousness, and comfort, making it a well-liked cottage for holidaymakers. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to walking paths and local attractions, as well as the peaceful and scenic countryside views. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, though there were a few mentions of cobwebs, a dirty oven, and a rubbish bin issue. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a consistent problem.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, beautiful views, and accessibility to local attractions and walks. It is described as an ideal base for exploring Sussex, with several guests highlighting the convenience for dog walking and proximity to pubs.
Guests generally find the cottage cosy, comfortable, and well-equipped, with special mentions of comfortable beds. However, some guests noted issues with low sofas and a desire for additional easy chairs, which suggests room for improvement in seating comfort.
The cottage is commended for being well-equipped, but there are several remarks about maintenance needs, such as exterior decorating, Wi-Fi signal issues, and TV reception problems. These comments indicate that while the facilities are adequate, there is a need for attention to certain aspects.
