For unwinding, you’ll find a sitting room, for cosying up to watch a film on the TV, or indulge in an evening read with the selection of books provided, and a snug, to relax in with your loved one after a day of adventures. From here, the bedroom invites you to rest on the plush bed featuring an en-suite shower room for convenience. If you don't fancy cooking, visit The Swingletree, The Bulls Head, and The Springer Spaniel, all a short drive away. Set in the countryside, Launceston is a close by market town with an array of independent boutiques and eateries including Mystique, Country Chic, The Coffee Pot, and Red Chair Café. Venture to Plymouth, a port city in Devon, you can visit the UK’s largest aquarium at National Marine Aquarium, wander around The Box, showcasing Plymouth’s collection of natural history and art, or grab a coffee at The Terrace, appreciating the sea views. A short excursion will bring you to Dartmoor National Park where you can explore the open moorlands, deep valley rivers and the rich heritage. Stoke Climsland, a small village on the East Cornwall-Devon border is home to the Stoke Climsland Post Office Stores, which has served at the heart of the local community since the reign of Queen Victoria. To the south of the parish is Kit Hill standing over 100 feet tall, and donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles, the Duchy of Cornwall, to celebrate the birth of his first son Prince William. Kit Hill is an ideal place for walking, bird watching, kite flying and picnics. Two miles away is Callington, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and offering a good selection of shops, inns and cafes, as well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties, certainly worth a visit on your way to a day’s walk on Dartmoor. A little further away, is the quaint village of Calstock clinging to the steep banks of the river Tamar and dominated by the splendid Calstock Railway Viaduct, a giant 11-arched stone construction supporting one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines running through the Tamar Valley. A splendid base to explore south Cornwall and West Devon.
