Today, the hideaway offers a high standard of contemporary living in a centuries old building, with a beautiful open-plan living area, freshly renovated to promote relaxation and calmness. From the exquisite white kitchen to the almost seaside themed lounge/diner, you will never want to leave the soothing set-up, except to cosy up in the lovely king-size bedroom. Whether you are planning a refreshing summer holiday, or a winter break in front of the pebble flame effect fire, this cottage is for you. Fowey boasts medieval and Georgian buildings around a beautiful estuary. The South Cornwall coast boasts hidden, sheltered sandy coves and stretches of beaches, pretty villages and scenery. The Eden Project and the town of St Austell are both within easy driving distance. There are many family attractions in the area, including Mevagissey and Charlestown harbours.

One bedroom: 1 x king-size, clothes hooks in the bedroom with extra storage space for clothes in the kitchen.

Please note: the bath is a small deep bath with high sides and even though its small it's still ideal for soaking in after a day of exploring.
There is a grab handle on the wall for safety.

It was great to be out of the centre but so close to the pubs and restaurants. The parking is conveniently close. For us the cottage was a little on the small side and lacking storage upstairs. We visited in May so we had quite a lot with us to include wet weather walking gear. Overall very stylish and welcoming.

...could be a bit confined during inclement weather. Very well presented and well equipped, in a good location a little way outside the hustle and bustle of the village centre. We found the hip bath / shower arrangement awkward to access due to the height of the sides - a walk-in shower would be perfect. Had a wonderful week and would definitely recommend for active couples.

Its then a short walk into Fowey. Inside the cottage is best described as compact - its all there but well packaged. The shower is good but the bath is about half size. There were some technical issues - the wall fire isn't right and the extractor fan the cottage needs has a timer with a mind of its own. We had to turn it off at night as it started at midnight each day for no apparent reason. I'd replace the mattress and the sofa now as they have clearly had a lot of use so are no longer as comfy as they once were. Overall though the cottage is a great base for a holiday in Fowey.
