About this property

Within a small private development, Seashells is part of a small group of 8 holiday bungalows that are sheltered from the Atlantic breeze by the sea wall, moments away from the property. The amazing golden sands of one of the two beaches here at Marazion are within a hairs' breath. This delightful complex, built around the site of former railway sidings and incorporating the little granite stone station is a lovely location for a seaside holiday. Watch water sport maniacs ride the waves at speed as they hurtle past your patio. Returning to your bungalow after a day of sun and fun you can relax in the uncluttered harmony of open design living.

With comfy leather sofas, a dining table for meals and board games and a sleek, modern kitchen for cooking, the open plan space is great for just being all together. There are two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a family bathroom (bath with shower over) that complete the accommodation. All the bungalows have their own patio and the attractively landscaped grounds incorporate designated parking bays in front of each property. When the tide is out, the historic island castle of St Michael's Mount can be accessed by an ancient cobbled causeway well trodden by Pilgrims over the centuries. A vast tract of inland marshland frequented by rare species of migrating birds attracts twitchers from all over the country.

Browse art galleries and antique shops, or take refreshment in the tea rooms, cafes and pubs lining the narrow streets of this charismatic coastal village. When you are ready to explore the surrounding area you will find that Penzance, Land's End and St Ives are all just a convenient drive away. Staff very friendly and welcoming and attentive to their duties and guests

One negative is the patio door would not lock with the key and extremely draughty along with all windows possibly need replacing because of the draught actually making the blinds move. We did experience an issue when the heating did not work but this was soon resolved with a phone call and it was put right within a few hours

The minute we arrived they would not close together and we spent two nights with furniture piled up against them as there was a six inch gap. On third day when someone tried to enter the whole door fell outwards and were very lucky there wasn’t a nasty accident. The joiner came and levered the door back onto the tracks after three days of not being able to contact anyone for help. I find this totally unacceptable, the level of maintenance in these bungalows is appalling, and I’m sorry to have to say we will not be booking them again.
