The location is generally well-regarded for its beauty and convenience for exploring Cornwall, though some guests mention challenges with parking and the steep walk from Mousehole.

The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable and inviting, with only a few comments about sofa size and bunk bed comfort slightly affecting the score.

About this property

Half a mile from Mousehole, arguably the prettiest of Cornish fishing villages, are Trungle Cottages. Dating back to the 18th century, No 3 is mid-row and has been beautifully restored to become an inviting holiday home. Enter through stable doors to a bright kitchen and dining area with tiled floor, off which sliding doors lead to the cosy living room, heated by a wood burning stove set in a feature stone fireplace. From the kitchen, steep stairs lead to two bedrooms, a stylish double room and a bunk room with double and single over - they share a shower-room. At the front of the cottage is a decked seating area, ideal for 'sundowners' after a day of exploring the area.

Number Three is in an excellent location, handy for walking the Coast Path and a five minute stroll from a pub. Just down the road, neighbouring Mousehole (pronounced 'Mouzzle' by the locals) has a selection of shops and good places to eat around its historic harbour. Further afield at Newlyn, you can watch the fishing fleet landing its catch, or spend a day exploring Penzance and St Michaels Mount. Take in a show at the internationally renowned Minack Theatre, a superb open air venue perched high on the cliffs, or at Lands End you'll find fun for all the family accompanied by breathtaking sea views.

A delightful fishing village nestled on a hillside and spilling down to the shore. The picturesque harbour, surrounded by its maze of winding narrow streets, draws visitors from miles around, while in the distance St Michael's Mount stands proudly in the centre of Mounts Bay.

Well equipped with everything you need for a week away. Needing a little TLC as getting tatty in some parts. TV in lounge no reception on most channels - ok in bedroom. Beware no mobile signal in Paul fortunately excellent WIFI in property. Location in Paul is lovely easy walk down to Mousehole, plenty of walks from the cottage through fields very muddy when wet. Number 5 bus into Penzance passes through village every hour Monday - Saturday. Biggest gripe having to pay £60 for our dogs especially when property not spotless!! visiting family nearby but normally find rentals that DONT charge for dogs.

The wood burning stove was great. We bought some wood in Penzance and it really made the downstairs cosy. Lovely seating area at the front of the property. The bathroom is compact but very well fitted. We loved it.

It's really comfortable! Everyone is so friendly. The local Red Lion pub does good food and drink. The walk down to Mousehole is easy enough with not much traffic. The footpath across the fields is challenging in parts! A bit overgrown so watch out! We used it as a base to visit St Ives and Sennen Cove. St Ives is much easier by train from St Erth. Thanks very much for having us!
