Hunting Gate Lodge is an attractive timber built single storey holiday home nestled in quiet leafy setting on the fringe of the popular village of Lanner. The Lodge is beautifully furnished and offers a sociable open plan living space and a large decked sun terrace with a woodburning hot tub. An idyllic bijou, romantic retreat for two. The Lodge has a unique rustic designed interior with panelled walls and bespoke latch doors. The open plan sitting room has a comfy sofa/bed Smart TV, and sit up breakfast bar. The kitchen is well equipped for those wanting to rustle up breakfast or supper. The shower room is beautifully-adorned with eye-catching floor tiles, a contemporary suite and luxury towels.

The bedroom offers comfort in a double bed with a sumptuous Emma mattress. Just a short walk from The Lodge is one of the popular public houses in the village, The Coppice Inn. Sunny afternoons can be enjoyed with a crisp pint of ale in the beer garden, or indulging in warming pub fare on those cooler evenings. A short walk into the village you will find a convenience shop and bakery where fresh Cornish Pasties, bread, cake and pastries can be sourced for breakfast and suppers. There are many scenic walks to be enjoyed direct from The Lodge through the nearby countryside. The bustling retail town of Redruth is set within easy reach and is steeped with the mining history. It is possible a step back in time with a tour of a Cornish Engine House, The Moseley Heritage Museum or Kresen Kernow, home to the world's largest collection of documents relating to the history of Cornwall, or if you time it right, why not catch a live game at Redruth Rugby Football Club? Close by are the stunning sandy beaches on the North Coast of Portreath and Porthtowan. The three mile stretch of Sands at Perranporth isideal for surfing, horse riding or afternoons and evenings lounging on the beach outside the Watering Hole pub where live bands often play. Walk the South West Coastal path along the Durassic Cornish Coastline enjoying the glistening still waters on the south Coast and the dramatic breaking waves on the North. The village of Lanner rests near Redruth, a short distance from Falmouth. Once a mining hub in Cornwall, the village is now friendly and welcoming, with a bakery, a village hall, and several good pubs. Carn Marth, a former granite quarry, now a lovely place for a walk or cycle, overlooks Lanner village. In nearby Carn Brea, you can see a Medieval castle (now a restaurant) that belonged to Lord Bassett, the area's most powerful mine owner in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Coast to Coast Trail will appeal to cyclists, with the trail following the old tramway from Portreath to Devoran.
