Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside town of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the boutique hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branchline. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country.

We agree with others regarding the view and the facilities provided. However we would take exception regarding two issues one with the poor comfort of the seating in the lounge area and the other was the poor comfort of the bed. We didnât feel either matched the quality and standard that weâve experienced at other Sykes cottages managed properties. Perhaps it might be time to consider replacing both?

The view was spectacular. The settees were not comfortable to sit on and the downside was the parking. Cars to close together unable to get in and out had to drop passenger off before driving in space then the driver had to squeeze out. I had to hold the door for him to get out just to ensure the car next to us was not touched. The stay itself was incredible.

Lovely sub tropical garden with the same views. 5 minute walk to the station for trains to st ives Bonus for us was. Becks fish and chip shop , just up the road , one of the best in Cornwall The coastal path. runs past the garden gate A brilliant stay Robert
