  A great stay as usual thanks.

  However upon departure I had cause to move the dresser in the double bed bedroom with the ensuite. something had rolled off the top and underneath. There was thick dust on the top of the skirting. Also, on stripping the bed in readiness for our departure, there was again a fair quantity of dust between the headboard slats... and the floor under the bed held a fine layer of dust which could only be seen when the sun shone through the window at certain times of the day - if you were looking that is- in all the above cases it was obvious that attention had not been paid to this over several cleans and given that we lost most of our booked first day in order that a 'covid deep clean' could be paid attention to, it was obvious this had not been done. There were a few crumbs of food in the kitchen wall cupboard too, right of fridge... Clearly NOT a deep COVID clean that we experienced when we stayed in White Sails the previous October (2020). Also, the towel radiator in the ensuite bathroom did not work at all... The front entrance door had swollen too and scraped the frame as it was opened and closed. The noise of this may disturb other tenants? Other than this, I would say the stay was fine, the apartment well equipped and comfortable. We would stay with you again without question, but probably not this particular apartment given the cleaning. I am asthmatic and dust is one of my lesser triggers so a clean and dust free environment is something I would be looking for, particularly around a bed area. We brought along our Dyson personal air purifyer for the very purpose of extracting dust from the atmosphere whilst we slept. I have photo evidence of the dust I spoke of if you are interested to do something about it for your future clients.

  Had an excellent at Gennaker, the property was clean, light and had a high standard of appliances and furniture.

  The location was convenient for touring the South West, we normally stay in St. Ives and was nice to not be in the constant traffic jam trying to get into St.Ives. It was convenient to the south west coastal path to walk into St. Ives (especially as it meant we passed the awesome Porthminster beach and cafe on the walk). It was a short walk to Carbis Beach which is safe, quite and very very clean (only thing to be aware of, its a VERY steep walk so is hard work on the walk back). As in other reviews the walls are pretty thin so you can hear the neighbors, tbh this was not a big deal for us as we spent most of our time outside of the apartment. One important piece of feedback for the owner (which I believe has been repeated in other reviews), the instructions for the heating make no sense. They talk of turning a dial to 1, there are no dials on the heating controls only buttons. Luckily I have seen this type of heating control before so could work out how to turn the under floor heating on. However, if you have not seen this type of unit before it is VERY confusing, there are buttons on the control unit, buttons on the boiler and then dials on the thermostat in each room. I REALLY think you need to look at these instructions as the 'stress' of trying to work out the heating unit is a bad start to any holiday. Anyhoo, we had a fab stay and apart from the heating instructions which is a minor minor point, this is a very good property which is good value for money. Thanks so much

  "We had a really fantastic holiday in Waves.

  The apartment was everything we expected, and then some, and the views were simply outstanding! The apartment was spotless when we arrived, very well equipped and it had absolutely everything we could possibly have wanted for our holiday. The train into St Ives and St Erth is a must and it is so convenient not having to struggle to find parking. I am sure we did the same things as many of your other guests, trips to St Mawes, Mevagissey, Portreath, Porthcurno etc etc. The Eden project was stunning and we especially liked the Mini golf at Porthminster . Restaurant-wise we tried the Porthminster Beach Café, Waves (how appropriate) and The Seafood Café, all which we thoroughly enjoyed. Beck's fish and chips are also a must (if only they opened on a Monday!). We enjoyed ourselves so much at Waves we asked to extend our stay by four days and this was dealt with very swiftly by your team and we were delighted to be able to stay on. Our whole experience has been a joy, we hope to come and stay at Waves again later on this year." J. Jackson

  What an amazing place!

  This is our 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration break for just the two of us and it could not have been more perfect!! This apartment is absolutely beautiful with the most special view from the private decking. Our daily walks along the beach and paddling in the cool crystal clear seawater was idyllic. We recommend: • The walk to St Ives and back. • Train journey to St Ives or St Erth and onto Penzance for shops. • Carbis Bay Hotel (delicious crab risotto – beach restaurant). • Breakfast bagels in St Ives harbour • Porthminster Beach – saw the seals swimming. • Portggwidden Beach Café Bar – lovely on the beach • The Loft Restaurant – seafood chowder can recommend • The Host restaurant, St Ives • Pednolva Hotel (revisited after 18 years) Big thank you to all people who rent this apartment! People who look after this apartment and look after the décor and attention to detail – so clean!! Thank you all xx

  "My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful holiday, Waves lived up to expectation, we travelled by train and this is probably the most well appointed self catering accommodation we have rented in the UK.

  I was staggered by the variety of kitchen utensils etc and the whole place was spotless. Out and about we walked to St Ives many times and also to Lelant Saltings - warm welcome and cup of tea at the old station. We booked a day trip to the Scillies with Oates Travel and caught the train to Penzance to see the Olympic torch and then caught up with it again in Marazion. There was also a very warm welcome at the local church over the railway line and up the hill. Then there was the food festival and the farmer's market and the variety of shops and the views.....! . In terms of eating out: Porthminster Beach Restaurant, Sea Food Cafe, Harbour Fish & Chips, Porthmeor Cafe Bar, Becks Fish & Chip Cafe. Other visits to, I should Co Co,The Allotment Deli, Moomaid Ice Cream Zennor - could go on and on!" J. Eden
