Welcome to Anneth Lowen, Cornish for ’happy dwelling’. Frogpool is a small hamlet in the parish of Gwennap, 6 miles from Truro and 4.8 miles from Redruth.
This deceptively spacious, one bedroom property will sleep three guests and a young child on a pull-out bed or cot. The open-plan living space looks over the private garden which is lawned with a small pond and seating, great for relaxing with a coffee or a drink in the evening, watching the stars and listening to the owls. The kitchen is well equipped so you can choose to eat in or go to one of the many pubs.
A good day out is to visit Gwennap Pit, walk around Carn Marth circular walk and soak up the history. You are spoilt for walks in the area. You can visit Tehidy Country Park, which is 10 miles away, where you can wander for miles amongst woodland and wildlife. After you cross the golf course, don’t forget to stop for refreshments at the café. Bissoe Nature Reserve less than 2 miles away and has a lovely mineral trail path which leads to Portreath Beach, you will find a delightful café on the way which is well worth a stop! Alternatively you can hire a bicycle from Bissoe.
If you want to visit the beach, the closest is Portreath, 7 miles away, a beautiful sandy beach with facilities and café. At the end of the day come back to this home away from home retreat, relax and plan the next day.

Your little home from home very spacious for a holiday cottage the cottage had everything needed to have a nice break from home Mary the host is very welcoming and is there for you if you need anything and is a font of information about the area And for the price we paid for the week you could not get better anywhere excellent value for your money

Friendly farm with easy acces, ground floor flat. Responsive hostes. Private and quiet with all necesary facilities. Pub and church were easy to walk to.
