About this property

Creek Lodge is a well-presented holiday home set in Chacewater, Cornwall, offering off-road parking, a patio garden, and a spacious open-plan living area, making it an excellent base for families or mixed groups exploring this desirable part of the county. Positioned near the village and within easy reach of the coastline, it combines a convenient setting with thoughtful accommodation designed for a variety of guests. Step inside to discover the heart of the home, where the open-plan living space creates a sociable hub for spending time together. The kitchen is fully fitted and ready for preparing everything from leisurely breakfasts to evening meals, while the adjoining dining area provides a dedicated spot to gather and share stories from the day.

The sitting area is arranged with generous seating, offering an inviting place to settle in and enjoy the warmth of the space, with doors opening out to the enclosed patio garden. Here, patio furniture makes it easy to extend your living space outdoors, ideal for dining alfresco or simply taking in the surroundings. The ground floor also hosts a king-size bedroom alongside a separate shower room, providing flexibility for guests. Upstairs, three further bedrooms include a king-size with en-suite, a double, and a single, accompanied by a family bathroom, ensuring everyone has space to prepare for the day ahead. A short distance from the property are local amenities, including a shop for essentials.

For days out, head to Porthtowan to discover its sandy beach and coastal paths, ideal for walks by the sea. Visit Perranporth for its expansive shoreline and opportunities for family days out on the coast, or explore St Ives, where art galleries, sandy beaches, and seaside scenery await. Further inland, Truro offers the Royal Cornwall Museum and its striking cathedral, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan provide an enchanting setting to explore, alongside the renowned Eden Project. Creek Lodge is perfectly placed to experience the variety of Cornwall.

The Cornish village of Chacewater is situated just five miles from Truro, between Truro and Redruth in Cornwall. The village lies in the centre of what once was a great mining district, producing more copper and tin than anywhere else in the world. The village and sandy beach of Portreath are a short drive away and from Chacewater, both the north and south coastlines of Cornwall can be explored, with their unspoilt beaches and rugged coastal walking trails stretching for miles, ideal for walkers, bathers and surfers. Truro is Cornwall’s only city and has a magnificent cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum and the theatre and concert venue, the Hall for Cornwall, as well as a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. In Falmouth you will find the third largest natural harbour in the world, where you can take boat trips up the Carrick Roads, safe beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, which was built by Henry viii and is the town’s most popular attraction. Fans of classic cars will enjoy a visit to Perranwell Station where you can hire a Morgan car for the day. Nearby, in the Bissoe Valley, is Bissoe Bike Hire. Hire a bike for the day and enjoy the sights of the old mining works and beautiful wooded valleys as you cycle coast to coast from Portreath to Devoran, or just enjoy a snack in the café. Visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the National Trust owned Trelissick and Glendurgan Gardens, as well as the 26-acre sub-tropical garden of Trebah and the Eden Project, all of which can be reached easily in the car. A short trip on the King Harry Ferry will take you to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, which is well worth a visit. Chacewater is the perfect Cornish holiday base, with something to please everyone within easy driving distance.
