Welcome to High View, a beautiful, spacious, one-bedroom ground floor apartment in Truro, and as the name suggests, there are stunning views of Truro from the sun trap terraced garden. It is so quiet here you would not know that you are only 0.7 miles from the city centre, ideal for a mini break to unwind or a longer stay. Everything is on the doorstep, you can walk into Truro and leave the car behind.
The property offers a home from home vibe, with an emphasis on cosy and comfort. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for rustling up a meal if you don’t want to eat out, or why not eat al fresco on the terrace admiring the view? The large open-plan living area is light and inviting with patio doors leading into the garden, and the bedroom with en-suite is at the other end of the property. Outside, the terrace is on different levels, so not suitable for people with mobility issues, and offers a private retreat to relax.
Truro is the city of Cornwall, full of activity all year round, with cobbled streets and small alleys that lead you to independent shops, cafés and bars. The highlight is the impressive cathedral. Weekly markets are full of gift ideas and tasty treats, and there are restaurants to suit everyone’s palate and budget, often using locally sourced produce. If you like history, take a walking tour of Truro and visit the museum, or pop into the local galleries and take in a show at the Hall for Cornwall.
Just over 1 mile away is the waterside village of Malpas, walk along and admire the excellent views of the river. If you want to venture further, catch the King Harry Ferry and spend a day in St Mawes. Situated in the beautiful Roseland, it is a popular area for tourists, visit the castle, wander around the shops, book a boat trip or just sit on the beach and admire the coastline that was used in the Poldark series. After a busy day, snuggle down on the comfy sofas with a favourite book or sit in the garden and admire the amazing skies.

A clean, quiet and comfortable spot from which to enjoy the local area. So nice to be able to walk into town and not always have to use the car. A thoughtful welcome package was appreciated, as was the friendly call from Maggie (on her own holiday) to make sure everything was ok. I would certainly recommend High View as a great place to stay.

A lovely annex to the owners property. Nicely done, open plan kitchen lounge area and clean. The perfect bed. Slept like a log. Garden beautiful but unfortunately the great British weather put pay to being able to enjoy it with our Collie dog ( the main reason we booked with a good garden). My only complaint would be it needs some maintenance. The outside doors were rotting and some windows, and some of the wooden patio was rotting but can see some has been replaced already.

Fantastic accommodation well equipped with everything even has an air fryer we took our own but didn’t need to . Comfortable bed , sofa smart tv with Netflix & Amazon prime so plenty to watch after a day out exploring Cornwall lovely decking & patio area large garden so our dog could play in , property in great location 15 minutes walk into Truro town centre with plenty of shops bars & restaurants , we went out most days in our car st Mawes 35 mins ,port Issac 50 mins ,Padstow 40 mins , st Ives 35 mins and a few other places , this truly is a great base to see all of Cornwall has to offer and a credit to the owners , thank you for lovely experience and we would love to comeback without hesitation Shaune & Kath & our spaniel Archie From Bolton
