Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet, heated towel rail and grab rails.
First Floor:
Living room: With Smart TV and patio doors leading to balcony.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and Highchair. Welcome pack. Large partially covered balcony with garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Sorry, no children expect babes in arms. . A home from home Swiss-style country chalet lodge with parking for two cars immediately outside the front door. Aimed mainly at couples this comfortable and quality property has everything you will need for a perfect holiday. Set at the top of a North Devon forest, this tranquil lodge offers a fabulous sized west facing balcony directly off the lounge which is on the first floor and will still be in the sun when you arrive home from a day out! It has fantastic views over Exmoor and Hangman’s Hill.
Situated in the beautiful countryside with forest walks and easy access by car to Eggesford Forest, 10 miles towards Exeter, with the local country pub just a bit further along the A377 where you can have lunch before a walk in the woods. In the other direction is Libbaton Golf Club at High Bickington, just a mile away where anyone can have a game of golf, a beer or two and a meal.
Kingford Lodge has a five-ring gas hob and two ovens, one being an integrated high level double oven, perfect for foodies on holiday! The balcony with outdoor furniture and a parasol is partially covered just in case it rains. The lodge is designed with a good size kitchen/diner on the ground floor with a Smart TV and ample storage for your own food. The fantastic quality kitchen has an island/breakfast bar, dishwasher, washing machine, a good size wine cooler for those extra bottles, an American-style fridge/freezer, an Air fryer, Bosch Tassimo coffee pod machine, omelette & waffle makers & a George Foreman grill! The two kingsize bedrooms are on the ground floor and both have a Smart TV with the main room benefiting from an en-suite with a spacious walk-in shower for easy access and there’s also a separate bathroom adjacent. The incredible spacious lounge and balcony cover the whole of the property’s footprint with a lovely, comfortable L-shaped settee (purchased in 2022) and an additional recliner leather settee to rest those aching legs after a day out walking or cycling. There’s a good size Smart TV and a small computer table should you need to do some work while away. Games and puzzles are also provided for days in. You will need a car to travel to and from the site which is located near the county’s two National Parks, Exmoor 17 miles to the north and Dartmoor 20 miles to the south.
The High Bullen Hotel is under 4 miles away and is great for a swim in the indoor heated pool or a spell in their hot tub. The location is 11 miles from the regional capital town of Barnstaple with its many cafés and restaurants, Queens Theatre, multi-screen cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool, a purpose-built tennis centre with indoor and outdoor courts and an indoor trampoline centre. While just 30 miles to the south is the historic city of Exeter.
North Devon is famed for its fantastic natural attractions such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the world-famous Clovelly Village, all with awe-inspiring scenery. If stunning beaches are your thing, then the region will leave you spoilt for choice with Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde and Westward Ho! Beaches - all within easy reach by car. Don’t forget the popular Tarka Trail & the region’s many family attractions which are all within easy reach. Beach 15 miles. Pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
